ACLS Megacode 3: Ventricular Fibrillation

A 54 y/o M presents to the emergency room with chest pain and nausea.

He is noted to be diaphoretic and appears uncomfortable. The nurse is taking his initial vitals when he suddenly becomes unresponsive. You see the following on the monitor.

The patient does not have a pulse and high quality CPR is initiated while you prepare the defibrillator.

You have defibrillated the patient and he remains pulseless.

After initial defibrillation and round of CPR, the patient remains in vtach.

You attempt defibrillation again and continue CPR.

You have administered your next round of medications and performed another round of CPR.

You check the rhythm:
